Brave enough?

Anybody brave enough to do the intro violin solo from Fiddler on the Roof played by Isaac Stern?

=) If so, I bow down to you.

<font size=\"2\" face=\"Verdana, Arial\">What purpose would that serve? If you were faced with that musical situation in real life, you wouldn\'t use samples. No one produces samples with the idea that such an end use would be pursued. In a job-situation, you would be weighing the benefit of samples vs. the benefit of a live session on every task, and this is a case where the time spent futzing with samples to get something mediocre would cost you ten times the amount it would require to hire a good player and get it in a couple of takes.

well \"brave enough\" is to be understood here as \"young & reckless\", not Sapp?? :-)

Its the challenge, the thrill of the sequencing! Many of the NS members are not writing music for a living and like to mockup pieces as a hobby. Not to mention the fact that it will display what more of what the VSL is capable of or not capable of.

Huh? Are you trying to say there are users on this forum who has purchased Gigastudio and the hardware needed to run it effectively, AND the VSL library, and NOT be commercial composers?

Surely the money investment alone would cancel out the hobbyist market???

<font size=\"2\" face=\"Verdana, Arial\">Hobby? This is serious business. Be aware that you\'re fully responsible for the consequences of your actions, and you really need to fully understand what you\'re doing before you unleash this technology.

In short, don\'t try this at home!

Imagine Dr. Frankenstein attempting to explain to the authorities that his experiment was \"just a little hobby.\"

Munsie, I\'m sure there are users (or will be) that own the VSL and are hobbiests. Heck even Mr Ravn is not a full-time composer (that\'s not to say he\'s a hobbiest though) and he has just about every library there is!
