Orchestral Demo VSL (strings) DDSW and so on

Hello, everyone.
This is my new demo...
http://www.wisemanproject.com/demo/030509memo.mp3

Strings -- VSL (basic strings 2-velocity layers)
Woodwind -- DDSW lite & AO (trills)
Harp -- Giga Harp
Percussion -- UOP

your comments are welcome.

p.s.
I like the crispy short bow sounds of VSL string very much.

Hey Ken, I like it a lot! Those short bows do sound realistically crisp.

You are always somewhat of a mystery on this forum. You only post when you have a demo. C\'MON MAN, poke around some mo\' here!

Keep writing man, sounds great!

Yeah, I should do that. Sometimes, a thread progress so quickly. By the time I read everything, I lose my energy to write something. But, thank you, I will try!!

I love it!

It\'s hard to make this kind of cues original and not too cheasy...and you did it...
Great clean orchestration too...

How old are you if its not a secret?

Give us more...

Hey Ken,
I must agree with Aaron on this one. I don\'t recall ever seeing any of your posts before but I\'m glad I checked this one out. Very very nice work. I look forward to hearing more from you sir. I also wouldn\'t mind getting an idea of what your computer setup might consist of. All giga I\'m assuming? Nice mastering job as well. Very clean.

good luck
although I don\'t think you\'ll need too much of that

Christianb >>I also wouldn\'t mind getting an idea of what your computer setup might consist of.

Pen3 -- 1Ghz
Ram -- 1G
Harddisk --- 40G x 2, 200G x 1
winXP pro
PCI-822

That is my computer. I made it 2 years ago.
It is very noisy and not powerful enough...

In addition, the following setup is for orchestral memo and it is the same setup of this demo.

Flute V/Stac lite (DDSW lite)
Flute Trill (AO)
Oboe V/Stac lite (DDSW lite)
Oboe Trill (AO)
Clarinet NV/Stac lite (DDSW lite)
Clarinet Trill (AO)
Bassoon V/Stac lite (DDSW lite)

Trumpet Basic (VSL)
Trumpet Trill (VSL)
3-Trumpet Basic (VSL)
Horn Basic (VSL)
4-Horn Basic (VSL)
Trombone Basic (VSL)
3-Trombone Basic (VSL)
Tuba Basic (VSL)

Piano (Giga Piano)
Harp (Giga Harp)
Timpany (UOP)
Glockenspiel (UOP)
Other percussions (JV-2080)

Violin Basic (VSL)
Violin Trill (VSL)
Violin additional tech lite(GOS)
Viola Basic (VSL)
Viola Trill (VSL)
Viola additional tech lite(GOS)
Cello Basic (VSL)
Cello additional tech lite (GOS)
Bass Basic (VSL)

This setup uses 99% of the ram of my computer. I can change brass section from VSL to DDSB-lite, if I want to have additional instruments.

I uses Acid for mixing, and Sound Forge for editting.

lex >>How old are you if its not a secret?

I am going to be 22 years old in 2 days.

christianb >>good luck

I need it, I want to have a job...

Thank you, everyone.

Wow. Thanks for the complete listing. It includes everything but the sequencer.

Okay, what sequencer do you use?

And, like everybody else here, I also loved the demo. It reminds me a bit of the opening sequence from Beauty and the Beast (where the whole town greets one another), and which happens to be my favorite piece of music in that film.
