    Apple Drops The Mac

Apple dropped the Mac from the former Mac OSX trademark. It is now officially just OSX version 10.7.3 or OSX Lion or the upcoming OSX version 10.8 or OSX Mountain Lion release slated for this summer.

    Somethings up.

you scared the crap out of me with that topic...

    "Apple dropped the Mac"

there have been horrible rumors that one day Apple will completely drop the Mac Pro desktop machine and leave professional audio, video, art and other professional businesses to use less superior machines. People who start these rumors think that Apple may want to patronize only consumer stuff like iPods, iPads, laptops and iPhones.

    Shew!

Apparently Apple is now using iMacs exclusively for in-house developing. I thinks it's more when than if for the Mac Pro, at least in it's present PC tower form.

By separating OSX from the Mac moniker this opens up speculation about the whole platform. Could we see an OSX-IOS hybrid on a quad core retina display iPad with Thunderbolt running Logic 10 with touch screen and Siri voice controls?

    We'll see.
