How string runs can sound, done with the old Gary Garritan strings

    Hi friends,

I think the most of you know that I am a big "Kontakt-Sampler" friend.

In the past I had experimented on string slur runs and got an intersting result out of the old Gary`s stings, tremole violins. Listen: http://www.box.net/shared/ceg3lkvzah

At first you can listen to a real recording snippet, then to a snippet from a sample library, and then to a snippet what I did with the old tremolo violins.

    Enjoy! :-)

Wow! I'd love to be able to do that!
In theory there is no difference between theory and practice, but in practice there is.

    Bravo, Gunther, great sounding runups!!

At the moment, I am struggling to obtain a decent broad cantabile sound at violins and violas, combining multiple libraries' samples. I have to do it separately for the lower positions and the higher positions, hoping to put them together into a template project. Interesting is that the highest positions sound quite acceptably out of the box. For ex., I can safely play the ouvertures to La Traviata and Lohengrin. The Vls and Vlas sound great at their very beginning, then, as they climb toward the middle high and on down, not so great

Great work Gunther. Could you provide a "little" tutorial showing how you
    accomplished this great sound?
