    News about Snorlax Jr.

Some of you met my son Evan a few years ago in Indianapolis.

Well, he is somewhere in or near Tokyo now. He went over Wednesday morning our time and arrived in Tokyo Thursday morning their time. That's the last we heard from him.

He was supposed to go to Nagoya but I am unsure whether he got there or not.

If there are any members in or near Nagoya, could you please PM me.

    Thanks...

    Jim,

I hope you hear from Evan very soon and that he is safe.

This is a very sad day for the world. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family and with all those affected by the earthquake and tsunami.

Let us know as soon as you hear that Evan is okay.

Thinking of you Jim, and Snorlax Jr. I hope you hear from him very soon. Hang in.
In theory there is no difference between theory and practice, but in practice there is.

    Re: News about Snorlax Jr.

I've pretty much been glued to the news all day as I have friends in Japan, Korea, and coastal regions of North America, South America, and Australia. Here are some snippets I found on Nagoya for you:

Yumi Mizuno, 20, said she exchanged e-mails with her family in Nagoya and learned that there was no damage done in her hometown, which is in central Japan and far from where the quake and the tsumanis caused devastation.

Also, the buildings in Japan are designed to sustain large earthquakes. There are few failures and the buildings that failed tend to be in Northern Japan by Sendai and ushima, which is close to the epicentre.

Based on the information I've seen on the impact in Nagoya, I believe that Evan is safe.

Note: Contacting him at this point is pretty much impossible as phone lines are still overloaded. Give it a few more hours and then try again. Don't worry, you'll be able to get in contact with him again soon.

Thanx to all for the news & support.
Still don't know exactly where he is.

Will call his college later tonight to see if he actually arrived in Nagoya.
Hope someone answers the phone there on a Saturday morning.
