Gigasampler 4 - Vista or 7 (64bit) - GSIF 2.1 interface

I know it is discontinued and that G-Player exists, but a client of mine insists in using Giga...

He asked me to find a copy of Giga 4 for him to buy... so

My question is plain and simple:

Are there any stories of success of one of these combinations?

1) Gigasampler 4 - Windows 7 (64bit) - interface with GSIF 2.1 driver (RME possibly)

2) Gigasampler 4 - Windows Vista (64bit) - interface with GSIF 2.1 driver

Hi,

I have Gigastudio 4 now running on Win 7 64bit with RME Fireface 800.
Don't use M_Audio, they have not included GSIF since XP, and their service to that has sucked so badly I changed to RME, and no longer looking back.

Hey Bryan,

I have Gigastudio 4 now running on Win 7 64bit with RME Fireface 800.

This is heartening news.

I've been trying to launch GS4 on a new Win7 (64-bit) machine, but Giga refuses to see the dongle. I know that the dongle works, because I can launch Cubase 5.5 with no trouble.

I noticed that even the newest eLicenser software is 32-bit and gets installed automatically into the (x86) folder... I thought that that might have something to do with it.

Did you have any similar trouble?

Any ideas?
