A un paisano - Venezuelan Waltz arranged for sax quartet

Hello to everyone, and Happy New Year...My best wishes for all of you¡¡

Today, I am finishing of record a venezuelan waltz - A un paisano (to an countryperson, or to a peasant) music composed by Henry Martinez. This arragement was intended for the Venezuelan Flute Orchestra in ocassion of the NFA Flute Convention in NY on 2009. I has decided to make a reduction to sax quartet and work on it using my EWI USB with Garritan sounds that this device come with. This is an exercise merely for pleasure (one of the very few hobbies that I have, when I return to work nex monday my free time for do these things will be almost none).

Anyway, I hope you enjoy it.

    Hi Andreas,
    Some nice blending of saxes.
I have found that allowing one , two or three voices to lay
out can enhance a performance. Each sax has a good chance to shine in this work, but keep concerned with breathing & endurance.
When visiting Recife, Brazil in 1960 I was struct by the long chorus &
    length of each song.

Indeed, they´re lay out...at least soprano, alto and tenor. Yes, perhaps I am thinking about the possibilities of the EWI USB as instrument, instead of a real sax quartet. A friend of me that have a sax quartet will test the piece and I will check out....thanks you for your comment.
