    A Dream Half Lost - an orchestral lullaby

    I haven't been in the listening room in a long while, I don't have much time to write music these days... but I did anyway. I wrote this orchestral lullaby while I was exhausted, which was difficult, as it kept putting me to sleep. It's a simple piece; just a couple melodies over and over with variations. Best for tired listeners.

    Thanks for listening! Hope you enjoy!

    It is also a good piece to listen to when you are just getting awake in the morning.

    The melodies are very pretty and the harmonic handling is very gentle. You are definitely a Romantic Period composer. This piece has all the quality and feel of an old adventure game.

    Nice build to the percussion and brass entrance, Sean! Oh, over so fast? I was waiting for and all out chorus with Brass and Percussion flourishes. You left this listener hanging and begging for more. Well done!

    Thanks Rich!

    Do you think it ends too abruptly? I can easily imagine the melody repeating one more time. Then again they say to "always leave them wanting more."

    Hi there Sean;
    Very smoothly handled and as Rich has noted, great build at the end! Comforting and assuring tones to mollify the suffering of the world weary Traveler.

    Good to hear some of your music again!

    Best regards,

    Sean, I think it is great just as it is. As you said:

    "always leave them wanting more."
