JOURNEY TO THE GATES ~ The End Of The Project

    JOURNEY TO THE GATES

This is the last song for my CD. I added a couple synth tracks and remixed it.

All strings, brass and Tubular Bells are GPO

Other library used Korg Legacy, (Wavestation and Polysix).

Organ track and other synth tracks....Yamaha So8
    Guitar power chords..Fender Telecaster
    Bass guitar...Fender P-Bass
Can't remember what the drums were, they weren't mine but I beat them like a rented mule.

    It has been fun.

Has a nice triumphant and majestic sound to it. The drum sound was a bit of a disappointment. Not so much the sound, but how they were situated in the mix. I think bringing them up a bit more in volume would benefit the entire piece. A very nice "soundtrack" feel to it. I feel like I'm about to watch a movie about a Biblical hero.

    Thanks JB.

I gave the drums a little boost and changed the eq on two of the the tracks. Give it a listen and let me know.

Hippie!---Where the heck did you go? I'm looking through old posts, and found this "Journey" piece that I hadn't heard before. It's classic wall-of-HUGE-sound, ala your own unique real-time layering technique. I miss hearing your stuff. Hope you get an email alert about this being revived--I want you to come back to us.

    Hello Aram!

    Long time no post.

I got off on The End Of The Prophet.

Thick as a brick as I remember. Brick?

    It was good time listen.
