2010 7th Annual Garritan Community Christmas CD

    Hi Everyone,

Let's start the list for Christmas 2010.
I have no idea what I am going to do yet.

Please Please Please do not claim a song if you are not going to complete it in time. A number of people probably were not able to send in a song because someone grabbed it and then didn't pull through. We all understand deadlines, but please start on your song now, you have a little over nine months to "git er done"!

Thanks to everyone for making their music for this recent 2009 Garritan Christmas CD!

    Dan

    Let the bidding begin

YAaaaah - I got my wish! Actually, my bride's wish. It was her idea for me to do "O Holy Night" for the 2009 CD, and she's asked me to do "Bethlehem" for this coming Christmas. Her wish is my command. You know how marriage works.

I started my project way early last year, and will again this year. I found it great fun to work with Christmas music in the spring, in the summer, in the fall. It's a good way of keeping the Christmas spirit alive all year.

An old Appalachian carol - "Jesus, Jesus, Rest Your Head" will be my contribution. Lovely song.

    Hi everyone,

I will contribute with an old french carol - "Entre le boeuf et l'âne gris".

As advised, I am starting it right now. Quite easy, as I broke my ankle, I have to stay home and nothing else to do than read and make some music till the end of january.

    Cheers,

Thanks Dan. Hopefully it is just a matter of time. In one month I should walk like before.
