    Gigastudio 3 and Windows Vista?

    hello,

I'd like to use GS 3 and Windows Vista. I installed GS but if I try to load it, the PC hangs up. After a reboot it asks me to deactivate the Gigadrivers, they would make some trouble. Is it generally possible to use them together and if it is so, please tell me if there is a hint or something to make it work. I use a Terratec DMX6fire 24/96 and a Delta Audiophile 24/96. But only the Terratec has a Vistadriver delivered.

    thanks Kai

I'm fairly confident that GS3 won't run under the 64-bit version of Vista. GS3 has software in the kernel mode (like a driver), and you need 64-bit drivers on a 64-bit OS.

I recommend upgrading to GVI. GVI is known to run well on 64-bits.

Until GS4 comes out, GVI would be your best bet in 64-bits...

I've read that neither GS, GVI nor GigaPulse are Vista-compatible.

I have also read that the next generation of these products will be.

That's fine by me, as I'm sure that there'll be Vista bugs that need to be worked out first...
