    Jake, glad to see that I'm not the only PIA on this one;-)

    In a perfect world, the presets would include one that warms the instrument *just a little.* IMHO Michiel Post's Old Lady, augmented with Kornel Mezo's sympathetic resonance script, remains the only sampled D which is right for popular music.

    I heard it at CES in Las Vegas. Maybe it ran off to play in an Elvis cover band...

    Unfortunately, much of Gary's equipment didn't make it to the show, so I only heard it on some poor speakers and a sad set of open headphones on a tradeshow floor. But I'll say that the sound was very natural - not too bright or too dark. As far as I could tell it should be a good workhorse, and not just a specialty piano for a stylized sound. And based on my conversation with Jeff, the programming quality should be absoletely excellent.

    Hopefully it will tire of the Vegas lights soon and come home to Orcas Island where Gary can ship it round the globe!

    I think the CMB as well as the cello will be out before then.
