    How do I covert a 24bit K2 library to 16bit?

    Hello everyone,

I have a Kontakt 2 sample instrument with 24bit files, and would like to make a 16bit version to save on resources. How would I go about doing this? Will I see any noticeable difference between the two (i.e. use less ram/load more patches, etc). Is it worth the effort/disk space? I use a Mac/Logic if that helps at all.

Thanks in advance for your help!

You simply go to the sample folder and convert every file to 16 bit. That's all.

When disk speed is a limiting factor (notebook disks come to mind), this procedure can save you from a lot of problems.
