ADAGIO from Krommer's Concerto for 2 clarinets & Orchestra

This was written for 2 solo clarinets and orchestra.
This is written for 2 clarinets; flutes; oboes; bassoons; horn; trumpet,
    trombone; and Tymp.
The Concerto features two clarinets with equal parts.

Your composition is great, you just need to put your conductors hat on and pull the orchestra back from drowning out the soloists.

    Thanks Ray,
I know what you mean. It's difficult to blend the horn and trombone
into woodwind sounds. I used all of the dynamic indicators, but
those were for a piano versions.
Some†imes the playback has no†hing to do with what's on the page(Finale.) Some phrases will be off balance for 8 measures and then
return-al†hough there are no dynamic indicators.

    It is difficult to get some of the blends in this;
and Krommer didn't make it any easier in his
range management in places. (The again, this
is the same guy who had a bad habit of also
writing notes completely out of an instrument's
range... oboe players just love him.)

Overall, though, I think you did a quite
    serviceable job on this, Gary.

    Best,
