    A Simple "Minuet"

    Minuet Lovers,

Here is a simple "Minuet" of mine, featuring the GPO harpsichord.

In this piece, the left hand works almost as much as the right hand does.

    Regards,

I especially like the way this began. Very much like an invention. I wrote lots in this style in college while studying 16th and 18th century counterpoint.

Thanks, Scott. (I have also written many inventions through the years.)

    Sorry about your recent weather!

Yeah, since I am left-handed I am partial.

    Thanks for listening, Mr. Rob.

The "sunny South", where I live, hasn't been so sunny recently. When the temperature gets below 60F here we think that a cold wave has hit us.

I would hardly call this a 'simple' minuet. It sounds fairly complex to me. I like the sound of the harpsichord. The first part of the song doesn't quite sound like 3/4 to me but it sounds good. As usual I thank you for posting.

It is 3/4 from the first to the last measure.

    Thanks, Jay, for listening.

    Is Kate your wife-mate?
