    Cool Installing JABB/GPO on G5

    Greetings,
Just joined the Garritan Club after many years of learning (4 albums) MOTU
DP with an old Mac 9500 midi style with lots of Korg sound modules and keyboards.
    Now going to re-conditioned G5 2.5 Dual 8GB ram 2 int HD (500GB ea.)+ 1
ext. firewire HD (500GB) and DP 5.11.
Now have JABB/GPO plus all the left over midi modules and stuff.
At 75 years old (played and studied piano/orchestration etc. 71 years) this unit will be "welded shut" and should last me. A fun way to go!!!!!!

Do I install JABB/GPO (plus Epson printing Apps to print CD's) on HD "A" (int. 500GB) and keep my working projects and recorded audio to HD "B" (int. 500GB) ????????? Is this the way to go????

    Many thanks

Yes. Both JABB and GPO are designed to work best loaded into RAM so there is no streaming taking place - hence, no need to have the samples installed on a separate drive. Audio tracks are more efficiently handled from the secondary drive, as you proposed.
