NEC says their design will replace the PC

Anyone seen this yet? (Click on an image to enlarge it)

You’ve just looked into the future… yep that’s right!
You’ve just seen something that will replace your PC in the near future.

    Here is how it works:
In the revolution of miniature computers, scientists have made great developments with bluetooth technology…
This is the forthcoming computers you can carry within your pockets.
This “pen sort of instrument” produces both the monitor as well as the keyboard on any flat surfaces from where you can carry out functions you would normally do on your desktop computer.

    Can anyone say, “Good-bye laptops!”

Now, if they could just figure out how to get my kitchen table to recognize pressure sensitivity and aftertouch - then you'd really be talking about a portable keyboard!

I've seen this device pop up several times over the past several years. Never realized it was NEC before. I thought NEC specialized in systems for retail.

Would it be possible to use that projection to project the GPO keyboard layout thing-a-magic onto a kitchen table rather than a normal computer keyboard??? THen that would be awesome!!!

Flat surfaces are not always that easy to come by... PCs and laptops will remain far more practical.

Yeah, but what kind of bass response do you get out of that?
