PC host for large amounts of VIs?

    Hi.
I've decided to offload a lot of my VIs from my Mac onto my Gigastudio PCs (surprisingly not using much Giga these days). Just wondering if any of you folks know of a cheap and efficient host simply for loading up a bunch of VIs and mixing them to a single stereo output to pipe into my Mac.

Seems like there would be a lot of these, but I don't want to go buying an expensive sequencing package like Sonar or Cakewalk for something this benign.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers,
    Jamey

Chainer, Forte, V-Stack. Of these, I know that Forte is Large Address Aware, so if you have 3-4GB of RAM you should be able to load up to 2.8GB of samples (with the /3Gig switch installed). However, do get rid of any GS memory tweaks first.

    Hmm....thanks.
Out of curiosity, can you load VIs in Gigastudio via VST plugins? I haven't tried it...

No. GigaStudio GS3 can load VST effects (audio effects) but not VSTis (VST Instruments).

    That's too bad.
