What do You use aftertouch for ???

I mean, what do You achieve using it ???? and using what libs ???

I don't use it almost, but now I'm gonna switch my Yamaha CS2x which has 61 keys to a 76 keys (minimum) controller to have all KS on the low without transposing.... but do I need controller with Aftertouch ??? is it really so important or not ????

In Garritan Stradivari 1 & 2, aftertouch is used to control vibrato rate - not sure about other libraries

The emphasis seems to be shifting towards increased programming of libraries these years (no doubt due to Kontakt 2), and with programming comes increased use of controllers - and aftertouch. I wouldn't buy a MIDI keyboard without aftertouch, if I was you. One or two expression pedal ports wouldn't hurt either.

I have CME UF7 on my mind now. 76 keys should be enough for me... at least I'll be able to use Keyswitch programs without transposing.
