    Pumpkin Walk

Here is my entry into the Halloween contest. It is posted in the general discussion section in this thread:

Alright, I guess I didn't get the thread link to work so here's the link to my scary Halloween song:

I hope this link is working:

    Pumpkin Walk http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page...?bandID=381168

    Preface to my entry:

You slowly open the old "creaky" wooden door. Suddenly you step into another dimension; one of sight and sound -

NO, silly, not the twilight zone .

Your in a pumpkin patch and it's Halloween .

There's is much to see and hear. Your imagination can get the best of you if you aren't careful! As the door "creeeaaaaks slowly shut, you are back, safely inside...or are you? Listen and hear!

    HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

    Nice work Rich.

    The composition itself was terrific..!

Not sure I would have incorporated the sound effects though... It makes for a fun "Ride"! however I think your piece is strong enough on its own to be recognized as an eerie composition..

    Fantastic organ work!

    Nicely done!

BTW...May want to check the link..Had a hard time finding it on the site .. needed to type in your profile name.

    Oops! You're Right! Here's the proper link...sorry!

And thanks for the comments jsp2. I felt the piece was strong but wanted a little more scary halloween sounds. I do plan to develop the piece on its own merits. I especially enjoyed developing the fugal passage.

    Rofl! What a great ride!

This is excellent, Rich! Some really neat contrapuntal
work thrown into the bash, too -- highly effective.

    Bravo!

Admit it, now -- that was you howling, right?

Since it's the weekend before Halloween, I thought I would "bump" this up for the kid in all of us. Happy Haunting!

Nice use of the organ! Great sound effects, though they remind me of those annoying Halloween toys. Definitely a fun piece worthy of the Halloween Contest.
