    Impressed with M-Audio Symphonic Strings/Brass

I bought these two DVDs last year but didn't get much use out of them because I primarily used EWQLSO Gold Pro XP. However, I have switched over to Mac Intels (both 17" dual core 2 iMac and Intel Macbook) that don't yet read NI plug-ins. So, I figured I'd add both M-Audio libraries to my Logic Express 7.2 set-up. Guess what? I love these things! Yes, there isn't the same number of articulations and variety but what do you want for $100 (Canadian). I also loaded my Prime Sounds Session Strings into Logic and they also sound great for smaller chamber pieces, although there is some noise inherent in the samples it would seem. Now if I could only get EXSp to read my Gigastudio format SAM Horns and Solo SEssions.

No problem. They sound wonderful and what a terrific value. Very cool. I really like how they mix together too.

    Mister Sonivox,

Are they a subset of Symphonics Implants or come from other recording sessions ?

Where can we find the articulation list ?

They are usable in Kontakt is in it ?

    Thanks,

Here is a little demo I literally threw together in 15 minutes highlighting the Orchestral Brass and Strings sections- very useful in sketching out ideas-

Just scroll down and listen to "North's Brass".
