    "Rhapsody For Tuba"

Tuber Lovers, (That's how true Bostonians pronounce it.)

Here is my just-completed "Rhapsody For Tuba".

All instruments are from the Garritan Personal Orchestra sample library.

    Regards to y'all,

My Great Aunt Maggie was from Boston, and she
always said "eat yer tubers, sonny". I wonder now
exactly what she meant by that.

Some nice exposure for the tuber, er, tuba in this,
Larry. It's a surprisingly capable instrument, quite
contrary to the impression many have of it.

    I enjoyed listening.

    Best,

I to will say thanks. I now have a newly discovered love for this instrument. This the kind of music great composers write. I was so relaxed by its peacefulness I continued read and did not notice that it had played several times.

TO ALL INTERESTED PARTIES: Your resident low brass dingbat, Snorlax, will shortly be preparing a tutorial (toot-or-real?) on the tuba and other low brass instruments in the Rimsky-Korsakov area. After looking at it, you will have TMI about the TUBA and other low brass.

Ya got to play the T--U--B--A
Ya got to play the T--U--B--A
(quiz: to what tune will you sing this???)

George Sands...you have been enlightened. Now go write some good stuff.

Larry G. Alexander...You have enlightened the world. Now go write more good stuff. Thank you.
