This is a fairly rough mix...will do another one next week when I have some more time to add to it.

Some powerful, heroic writing in this, Chris!

I'm very much looking forward to the remix.
I hear a lot of detail in this just under the
surface, and sharpening and clarifying the
articulations and lines will really bring out
the drive and energy of the writing.

Very strong work, here, Chris; I enjoyed
    hearing it.

Some nice sounds coming out of New Zealand!

Ladies and gentlemen, this young man is seventeen years old! Doesn't he have a great musical future ahead of him!? I am very impressed.

Fine job, Mr. Chris. Keep up the great work.

    Chris,

Great job! You have the cinematic style down very well. This is a great mix. Is it all GPO?

Wonderful work - thanks for posting this.

Thanks for listening! I will certainly do that for the next mix, I agree that there a few things that could be sharpened a bit.

Thanks for listening. It's all GPO except I added some extra percussion - including the free low tom sample on the projectSAM website. There is also a small male choir sample.

Well done... You have so much potential at your age. I hope you choose to study music further... I really enjoyed the low brass "growling" and dark textures of this piece. Remember to always challenge yourself and be versatile.
Great job... would like to hear more from you soon.

    Hi Chris!
Great work for you as usual. I really like the piece and can tell that it's a diamond in the rough. Although, your rough mix isn't really all that rough This piece reminds me of the King Arthur score. Very engaging. Please share your finished work!
    Take care,

Thanks for the encouragement!! I will certainly pick this back up tomorrow and work really hard to get it to the level I want it to be.

Thanks Michael! yes next year I will be studying music at university here in New Zealand. Then hopefully in my 2nd year I am planning on doing an exchange to L.A so I can study film scoring...all I have to do is make sure I get top marks and I can go. I really want to be a film composer. I've started on short films..working my way up.

    Thanks everyone!

Excellent rendering of a idiomatic genre piece.

I wish it were a little less predictable between 1:03 and 2:00 but maybe that is just me. Other than that very fine!

    Fantastic, Chris!

Over the last year or so, your writing has grown with more assurance. I'll be waiting to hear it continue to grow ...
