    Cubase 4 announced...

...English version will be shipping in less than 3 weeks time, German & French
    some time in October...

    Unfortunately 32bit only, no 64bit (yet) - let's hope this will be a cost-free
upgrade (4.1 anyone ;-) as soon as Vista ships...

Well I'm not quite sure that Vista will be around before 2007, I don't have any info though...

However if this is the case, I would jump on the wagon of vista before next summer, by which time Cuabse 5 will have been announced, or so...

However interesting news the 4 indeed... Time for an upgrade indeed.

OK, this will be my last (4th?) paid upgrade for Cubase without ever using it.

I REALLY need to switch from Logic 5.5 to Cubase now...

Yikes, migrating my 180 track and mixer setup to Cubase.

A feature not related to VST3 but to the Cubase mixer: effects can now be re-arranged using drag & drop. This works both within a single channel, as well as between channels.
    Hot dog!

Hopefully they've also made routing inputs and outputs of effects more flexible (so we don't have to 'cheat' to do sidechain compression anymore)!

Sounds like a winner to me! I'm all over this like stink on a monkey!

At least the upgrade prices are reasonable:

something like 400 euros from SL1,2,3 and Studio 4... That's something at least...

In Cubase 32bit to 64bit is a very simple software switch which can be "installed" at any time. Steinberg would probably do it when developers have had a chance to update to VST3.
