    Nuclear Symphony

    IRAN: 'NUCLEAR SYMPHONY' TO OPEN IN TEHRAN

    Tehran, 26 June (AKI) - A 'nuclear symphony' composed by Behzad Abdi at the request of the government of president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will open in Tehran next week. Tehran's symphonic orchestra, directed by Loris Chenkavarian, will perform the symphony which is one of many commissioned by the president and inspired by Iran's nuclear programm

    Penderecki’s "Threnody for Hiroshima" comes to mind.

    And maybe Laurie Johnson's score for "Dr. Strangelove".

    Here's my sketch for a nuclear symphony:

    Movement I - Proliferation (an evil theme gradually spreads through the orchestra)
    Movement II - Mutually-Assured Destruction (the conductor accidentally points at the bass trombone player and things quickly get out of hand)
    Movement III - Fallout (solo wind machine only)

    I think it's a mistype.. it should have read UnClear Symphony....
