    "Accordion To Hoyle" (groan)

    Y'all,

In response to thousands...uhh hundreds...uhh one lousy request, here is my "Accordion To Hoyle". (Even our British friends may not understand my bad puns, and we speak the same language...almost.)

This features the Garritan Jazz and Big Band accordion and Steinway Jazz Piano.

    My best to all,

    Larry

They tricked you, accordion is not in these days.

Seriously though, this is a fun little romp. I see women in pigtails and skirts dancing all about. That's always good, right?

    Oy! Curses! Tricked again.

Thank you, Mr. Fishbein, for your kind words. (Chicks in pigtails and skirts are good...are good. Chicks in pigtails and short-shorts are better...are better. )

    Shalom,

Fishbein's just joshing you, Larry. His autobiographical opera,
"Fishbein and The Finnish Accordion Player", somehow got
listed in the Polka section of the New York Times, and he's
never been quite the same about the instrument, since...

Nice job on this, Larry; a pleasant little divertimento with a
    distinctive danceability to it.

    Might be mixed a bit wide? Like the sound, otherwise;
the relatively gentle piano undercarriage works great.

    My best,

    Larry,

    same here. Accordion is lovely.

Why is it that you don't use the bass manual of it?

Also I would like to hear it with pizzicato contrabass instead of piano.

    Hi Larry,

Just began my day by eating breakfast and listening to this. Lovely!! The melody suits the accordian to a tee, and I love the key changes. Very folky.
    Thanks
    Jon

    Hannes
I stayed away from the bass manual because it clashed with the accompaniment.

    Thanks for listening.
