    "Modes"

    All,

Here is my organ work that alternates between major and minor, so I call it "Modes". duh

I ended it on the bare tonic so you can choose major or minor.

Ran this one up on the big speakers, Larry; sounds great!

Now -- don't call me crazy (true though that may be); but
idiomatically, I think this would be fantastic on... accordion.

Son, you've been tasting the cooking Sherry again...and again.

Accordion? With deepest apologies in advance to all accordion players and fans, that is my least favorite instrument. I'm sorry...Lawrence Welk devotees.

Any other ideas? Accordion!? Cough, sputter, choke, wheeze, gasp...

Aw, now, don't be stodgy, Larry... lol -- the accordion is
way cool these days, the "in" instrument, the cat's
meow (literally, if you ain't too good at it), the vogue
    that's sweeping the orchestral community!

Well, er, that might be a little too much enthusiasm.

Seriously, if you haven't heard it, John Bonica did a
Mozart-style original piece a short while back...

... that I thought worked wonderfully well with the
    instrument.

    Larry,

Nice work on this; I truly enjoyed listening through a couple of times, with your quite effective use of major and minor modes. And David's right... accordian is now cool and hip! Give it a shot! (and throw in some harmonica while you're at it ).

    Re: "Modes"

I loved it! The transitions between "modes" are elegant and unobtrusive. I agree this has the vibe of an accordian piece. Of course, I suppose it's not too horribly inaccurate to say an accordian is kindof a miniature organ anyway.

    Mr. Dan,

Ye dogies. You say the nicest thangs. Thank you.

I must join the "in" crowd and write an accordion opus.
