    Question Gigapulse pro questions

    Hi,

I'd like to clarify something about the GigaPulse pro plug-in.

Is it only VST and not standalone ?

Does it need the Gsif 2 driver or Gsif 1 is ok or better it does not use Gsif ?

Can we use non-proprietary ir files like those found on Noisevault site ?

If only used for rendering (not in real time) is it possible for an AMD 1.3 mgz, 1 gig ram to load 3 instances and save the wav file without problem ?

I tried 2 demos ir files, Samplitude and Numerical sound and they are great, are ir Gigapulse files the same quality ?

Will Gigapulse freeze my computer like GigaStudio ?????????

Does it work at the kernel level ?

Now I use SIR and Space Boy with Qlso Silver library and would like to get the most polished final product as possible.

    A lot of questions.

    thanks,

    SergeD

    Re: Gigapulse pro questions

    HI,

there are two versions of Gigapulse. Gigapulse VST ( only stereo ) and Gigapulse Pro ( with surround).

Gigapulse Pro is only available in Gigastudio. You cant use it as a VST Plugin.

A far as I know you dont need GSIF 2. GSIF 2 is only needed for kernel level MIDI and Audio inputs in Gs3 so that you can record directly into Gs3 and with added FX like Gigapulse of course.

Yes you can use ir files from noisevault.Just drag'n'drop

As for the AMD 1.3 Ghz. I think you can "maybe" use 1 to max 2 instances of gigapulse if this CPU supports SSE. If not you can't load Gigapulse.

The quality of the ir files in Gigapulse is quite good. I like the ir's.

Gigapulse Pro works in kernel level under Gigastudio 3 .

Hope that helps you a little.

Too bad my cpu doesn't fit with SSE,

    Thank you very much,
