    Christmas Cd

    Here is an arrangement of a Spanish Carol,

    The carol is actually French. Other than that, it sounds good!

    Yup, French it is. But it is also true that it is a nice piece and nicely rendered here.

    Some people prefer Carols to be just the notes. Do you think the intro detracts?

    Gary,

    I was a little confused at first by the intro until I heard the tune begin and then recognized the piece. Personally I like to do an intro that is more closely tied to the theme in order to lead the listener into the work. But that is only what I like to do. And example of what I mean can be found in my arr. on the hymn tune "Crown Him With Many Crowns" set for brass choir and percussion;

    However, I really like what you have done with the woodwinds on your arrangement.

    Nice work on this, Gary; particularly some of
    the woodwind writing... lovely lyricism, flow, and
    feel to it.
