    Talking Piano Sonate - Allegro

    Hi all,

after a 8 months of no composing and when my muse seemed to have just completely died I decided to try to give her an CPR. So here is Allegro movement of a new piano sonate I decided to write.

    Sonate - Allegro

Enjoy! And please feel free to comment on it.
    Sincerely,
    Falcon1

    hmmm....

I was trying to place the style - in places it sounded like Haydn, Mozart or Beethoven, then you would take an unexpected and totally uncharateristic turn of harmony or melody...

    I like that.

So much classical music has been written, (and I've heard so much of it) that it is hard to surprise me anymore with new music. Doing something different like this that is engaging instead of sounding contrived is IMHO a very delicate and difficult task

    BRAVO!

Now, get thee to the computer and write the other 2 mvts

Well, after listening to this, I really can't wait for the rest of the movements. This is very well written, great articulation, I particularly love the dynamics in this, especially around 2:30. Great work!

falcon, I can't wait to hear the others too. Excellent sonate, the CPR must have worked, glad you bumped this up so I wouldn't miss it. If I had a piano store, I would play this to sell pianos.

    Thanks guys!

Giwro_jon, how about falcon's style? hehe.. I know you will be happy to hear that I'm now working on the slow movement. Hopefully it creation will go without problems.

Haven't yet decided if this will be 3 or 4 movement sonate, but we will see - hopefully soon.

I will tell my muse to work overtime if needed! hehe...

    Again thanks!

Four aces, Falc, a quite enjoyable, engaging allegro.
Coherent, but unpredictable enough to keep me
    intrigued and listening forward.

Get to work now, Falc, and let's have the rest!

    Falcon,
I listened to this over the weekend and again just now. This is wonderful. It is exceptionally well written and the rendering is dead on. I too was trying to place the style only to have something unexpected happen. I especially enjoyed the development section. Very nice work.

    Talking Piano Sonate - Adagio

Hi all again and thanks for the comments.

    Here's the 2nd movement...

    Adagio

Btw. I'll do better mixing and programming when I have completed all movements.

    Again, comments are welcomed!

    HI Falcon,

Great Allegro movement. I really like the twists and turns in it. Sort of like Beethoven meets Richard Strauss for coffee And the Adagio movement, really excellent, clean and covering a whole range of expression and feeling.

    I vote for a 4 movement sonata!!
