    May cardboard instruments are the wave of the future!

    Kind of cool, actually. A very creative idea.

    Hmmm... GPCO??? Garritan Personal Cardboard Orchestra.

    Then again, why not a GPJB? Garritan Personal Jug Band. Or maybe a Spike Jones memorial sound set, complete with foghorn (trying to remember the name of the tune he did that started with a stereotyped sunny morning opening, but then introduced a foghorn imitation against that backdrop - something Lagoon???, but I digress badly).

    I spend $250 on JABB and find out that I could have gotten an upright bass made out of cardboard? Why did I get JABB then? Oh, yea, saxaphones and drum kits...can't beat those!

    Dave: Sr. High Band? If so, then I feel your pain...I'm a student in one.

    Pretty cool cardboard bass. After I watched i clicked on another bass vid, and then another, then another, each time it produces more for you to click on. Many of them were... well not ready for primetime, but here is one that seemed to stand out a little.

    I think this one could maybe get on David Letterman or something.

    Very cool Shaz 'ol buddy! I used to have cardboard soap containers that were tube shaped in two sizes, small and large, that I used for drums when I was a kid. Dad brought them home from a friends home and my big brother and I painted them and made drums out of them. Needless to say they didn't last very long.
    That bass actually has a neat sound!

    instruments can be made out of almost anything. i once made a bass out of an old 10gallon water jug and some galvanized pipe. i was inspired by my ex roommate's ex boyfriend's creations. if you've never heard of ken butler, your should look here:

    This is inspiring! It never occurred to me we could
    build our own instruments out of absolutely anything;
    and save oodles of money in the process.

    I have thus set about creating an exact duplicate
    of a Steinway D out of hamsters.

    So far, the only problems -- the pedal squeaks and the
    low A bites.
