    SCI-FI/ROMANCE film cue

Here's something I recently wrote for an independent feature film. The film involves time travel and the romantic reunion of two people who had split up, gone their separate ways, and through numerous leaps back and forth in time, finally came to realize their destiny was with each other. This was the pivitol scene in the film.

This was done with DP5 using EWQLSO Platinum, PMI "Old Lady" piano, some Ethno World 2, and a bit of home-made guitar samples.

    Richard,

This is really beautiful work. VERY effective use of the piano. I was quite moved, in particular, by the section 0:55 - 1:47. Wonderful stuff

The brass around 0:42 sticks out a little, but I'm assuming this was some sort of reveal in the scene.

    The mix is great.

    Thanks for sharing this,

    Ryan

I appreciate all your comments. I had a lot of fun writing the cue, especially when it started sounding like I hoped it would.

And yes, the brass interjection coincides with the male character being startled by the appearance of something unexpected.

Very nice work ... what is the sample @ 0:33? And what is your string library?

    Cheers,
Thanks. That sound is a combination of bells from Ethno World 2, plus a bit of piano, guitar haromonics, and strings - some with trills. And a fair amount of reverb.

The strings, and the rest of the orchestra, are EWQLSO Platinum (original edition).
