Here is a tune dedicated to the rabbit character "Usa" created by Heroharu. All the sounds except "whistle" by Cakewalk TTS-1 are GPO.

    Illustrator, Heroharu's website is here.

I hope you enjoy it and Heroharu's paintings which are drawn by only computer mouse!

Thumbs up Re: Theme for Heroharu's Usa (the Rabbit)

Very fitting. Rabbits are more prolific this year than any other. In my back yard we have a family of Scwewy Wabbits which my dog loves to chase after.
The Pizzacatto is perfect depiction for the hopping of wabbits. This is really nice and characteristic of wabbit camaraderie! Perfect! Love the pizzacatto (seeing they are Italian strings, yes? No?)

Nice sample of child music, simplicity and a sligthly poetic mood.

    Styxx, David, and Fabio,

Thank you very much for your kind comments.

This "whistle" part of the tune is written to be played by theremin so that later I could introduce theremin version of it.

Heroharu has many more interesting characters such as "bird", "squid", "alligator", "kappa" (imaginary creature of Japan) etc. in her blog. I would write some more for other characters.

    Jun,
I really enjoyed this. It has a cartoon-like character but at the same time is sophisticated and serious in a charming way. The "whistle" lines are delightful.

    Jun,

What a wonderful little tonal interpretation of the rabbit. Whimsical, wierd and creative. Love your application of the GPO to this work.

Ok, so now make the other creatures happen musically

    Bill and Gary,

Thank you very much for your kind comments. I think GPO is quite handy when composing this kind of small pieces in addition to larger and more serious works.

I'm a-bumpin' pieces because I'm way behind on my demo listening as usual. This is a fun piece! It definitely seems to match bunnies. I especially like your use of piano and strings, what nice harmonies! My only biased criticism is that I often prefer a bit more reverb. Great work, I enjoyed listening to this piece.

    Jun:

A really great piece and so fitting for the title.

Really enjoyed the effect you got with the doits, glissandos, or whatever you want to call them. They set the whole stage for this piece.

    BRAVO, JUN.
