    Coward.
Yes, that's the problem with the administration, and with that party in general. Cowardice...the inability to face any problem in its reality. Rather, they just throw a trillion dollars at non-solutions, enrich their warmongering friends, and defer solutions (and the debt of not solving the problems) to the future.

If any of us ran our families the way the current ruling party runs this country, well, that would be family values indeed, wouldn't it? Kill your neighbors, run up the credit cards, watch the house rot...who cares? The grandkids can pay for it.

Why? He's undeniably right, maybe not about the entire Republican party but certainly about our current administration.

"Cowardice" is a very tame word for causing the deaths of tens or hundreds of thousands of people unnecessarily and then exploiting that cynically for political gain. And putting your head in the sand about global warming and pretending there's nothing we can do about it is certainly not dealing with reality.

Yes. Consider the source. Good, independent sources are in agreement on this issue. Only politically motivated or financially compromised "experts" are arguing the government position. No one lacking a position to profit from the status quo agrees with the government position.

Of course, I guess that's free enterprise to some people. I call it shameful and a poor example. Leaders lead by example. Our leadership is too woefully corrupt to even consider leading. It would take time away from enriching the oil and war industries. Can't have that.

    Sooooo.... the argument goes:

"100% of scientists agree on this"
"But all these scientists DON'T agree!"
"But they are unreliable and shouldn't be considered."
    "Why are they unreliable??"
    "Well, they don't agree."
"So, 100% of 'reliable' scientists that agree, agree?"
    "Yes."
    "Oh."

    Re: Ahem....

You can ridicule and argue and say anything you want. It changes nothing. The one thing all those scientists have in common is that they're disingenuous fools or just plain fools.

The only people who argue with reality either don't want to face it or have a interest in not facing it - just as all the conservative people on this board simply won't face the reality because it pisses them off that Al Gore has turned out to be a really impressive man.
