Smile How do you set up microphone input in GS3.0?

I am a new user of GigaStudio 3.12 and not very knowledgeable about it.
I am using a Midiman Audiophile 2496 soundcard.
I have Finale 2005 setup as my sequencer and am using GigaStudio capture to disk to make wave files of my Finale scores, using the Giga Sounds.
    This works fine.
My problem is that I want to insert a microphone input into this setup so that I can sing in realtime to the Finale playback and thereby have vocals added to my Finale songs as they are captured to wave.
I have no idea how to go about this and I find the GigaStudio manuals not helpful.
I would appreciate any help that could be given.
Also there still does not seem to be any books on GigaStudio - very surprising for such a popular program.
    Thank you,
    Derek Watson

    Derek,
In the DSP view, select from the dropdown menu at the top of any channel strip the input that your mic is plugged into. The default for every channel is "Gigastudio Sampler", but you can change it to "your soundcard in, 1+2", for instance, by finding it in this list.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Derek,
    Can you help please ....
i have the same card as you "Audiophile 2496", and I am trying to get a send from my pa "Bose Pas system" into gigastudio 3 to use the effects for my vocals.
How did you setup your system?
    cheers

    Hi,
Thanks for this thread, I have got my mic signal into the Audiophile 2496 card, and can now process vocal effects into and out of GS3 in real time.
    Thanks for the tip Belbin
    Cheers
