    HQI Perfect Mode Problems!!!

    Hi,

I am having problems with HQI when it is set to High or Perfect.

A short time after I set HQI to "perfect" Cubase becomes silent i.e. The screen is still active, but no output. A little while later Cubase will stop responding.

When I reopen my project K2 has been taken offline in VST Instruments. I can switch K2 on again, but eventually the above problems return.

If I switch HQI back to "standard" I have no problems.

I wonder is K2 causing the ASIO drivers to crash?

FYI, Multiple Processor support is switched off in K2 (but on in Cubase).

Anyone else had a problem with this?

    Paul.

    Host: Cubase 4.5.2

    Yes, I cant use it.
It wont render audio at HQI, it will do about 6 or 7 bars, and then silence, or white noise.
It took me hours to identify the culprit.

    Re: HQI Perfect Mode Problems!!!

    Joaz,

I've looked into this a little further and it would seem that it is the number of groups within an instruments that cause the problem e.g. I traced my problem to be an instrument that was imported from a soundfont and had 21 groups.

How does this fit in with your problem.

    Paul,
I was using GPO solo viola and solo cello. Both are Key switch instruments.
I just checked the viola and it has 29 groups.

    regards Joe
