    Question about GVI

I have Gigastudio 3.0 orchestra but don't use it.... honestly because I am too busy with other matters to learn it (I could have used a video, but even so.) I am very fluent in Finale and to some extent use GPO and JABB with Finale, which is not so hard because they "plug in" to Finale.

I don't exactly understand the advantage or disadvantage to GVI. Tell, me, if I upgrade to GVI does GVI then work like GPO and plug into Finale? That is, I open Finale and in the midi setup select GVI? Or is there more to it than that?

GVI is VST, so if Finale is VST compatible you will be able to use GVI as VST in Finale witch will be more confortable.

Finale only supports VSTi's from Native Instruments, so GVI will have no value for you.

Yes, that is important to know!

(unless, of course, Finale 2007 will broaden its support... I'll have to wait to find out.)

We can hope. But I suspect they have a contractual obligation with NI.

Hopefully, they were smart enough not to sign an exclusive agreement.
