Hmmm- the dynamic for the "women's portion" and its softness adds some expressiveness to my ear -- but I do not know if the samples are as responsive as I would like to hear in this piece.

It comes on strong and hard -- and stays there with no let up until the quieter insert -- but I would like to see some (my taste only - opinion, not critique) some variation in the punch of the phrases - as different dancers might offer relief to the eye in a kazatski with leaps different than on the floor figures.

Have you thought about arranging for balalaika?

You are getting much too technical. I am not a choreographer. It's just music.

I have never written for the balalaika.

    Thanks for listening.

But Larry -- it is darned good music -- and (IMHO) could be enhanced with the dark soul of a russian dancer. I love the line and form you have used bringing this together --- and feel that this may reflect a Soviet era feeling more than the soul of a true Kossak......in the Czar's service.

Lively piece Larry. I enjoyed the authentic Russian flavor and energy. Great job. (Now I'm craving Stroganov)
