Brass instruments won't play in standalone mode

While using the JABB player in standalone mode, I am able to play the Steinway Jazz Piano using my midi-man oxygen 8 and get nice sound in real time from my soundblaster card. However when I load up a trumpet, flugelhorn, sax (haven't tried all), the keys show up as being depressed on the computer monitor, but I get no sound, and no volume indications on the level indicators. Any thoughts? (I haven't tried it in Finale yet)

    G Man,

Don't forget that you need to use the mod wheel to control non-percussive instrument volume (and timbre). If the mod wheel is not tweaked, you will hear nothing.

Thumbs up Re: Brass instruments won't play in standalone mode

So that's where they invented the term "duh!" Thanks!
