    OT: Centrino WiFi?

I have a Centrino laptop, and a few days ago the WiFi seems to have fried. Right now I'm temporarily using a USB wifi adapter, but I'd like to get it fixed.

Is it possible to replace the wireless network card on a Centrino, or is it actually built-in to the motherboard? Man, I don't want to have to replace my motherboard...

What is the make and model of your laptop?

It may or may not be built into the motherboard, depending on the model!

Can't say for certain, but on the ASUS M6BNe, wifi is an installable card.

Take a look and see if any of this seems familiar: (PDF Download)

Looks like the WiFi is on an internal card that fits into the motherboard.

It also looks like they're not expensive (US $30)
