Looks good to me. I'm not sure about the soundcard, as I've never owned an EMU.

For CPU cooling, look at the latest from Zalman. Directron.com usually has good prices on their stuff. http://www.silentpcreview.com has reviews on the quiet stuff.

If you're planning on using EMU cards in your computer , they do NOT have GSIF drivers for GigaStudio .....Just a heads up !!.....Jim

There are other ways to get a virus/trojan, too.

Don't know this board, but I'd have a closer look at some
of the Microstar (MSI) boards, too. Good value for your money
    and VERY stable.

There are some (passive cooled) Radeon X1300 PRO cards around which
    are less expensive.

Check if your board supports 'interleaving', this will give you some extra speed.

I wouldn't waste money on such a small drive. Add some $ and you're in the
200GB region. If you plan to use sample libraries from NI, EW or VSL you'll
    run out of diskspace anyway.
Keep in mind that you need a floppy drive for naked systems
    if you're SATA-only.

For a few $ more you can get the external (USB) version that comes
very handy if you own more than 1 PC.

    Overall your setup looks good.
