Finale 2006 and Exisiting GPO Studio issue

    Hello,
I upgraded to Finale 2006 but didn't install the GPO VST because I already had it working with Finale 2005. Now, I can't seem to get anything past Channel 8!
I have use of GPO Studio 1 and GPO Studio 2. GPO Studio 1 has base channel of 1 - 8 and GPO Studio 2 is channel 9 - 16 set up in Finale and in the GPO Studio.
The instrument list is setup for the 8 instrument ins GPO Studio 1 accordingly and GPO Studio 2's instruments setup similarly 9 - 16.
This is asetup I have used with Finale 2005, but as I stated before, it isn't working anymore beyond channel 8.
An interesting mnote is that if I set GPO Studio 2 to be the MIDI OUT Device #1 and set the channels here to 1 - 8 I can hear the instruments fine.
    thanks for the help!

By the way I tried copying the dll for Personal Orch over to the FinaleVST directory, and that didn't help.
    thanks,

    Studio 2 uses channels 17-32.

BTW, you should use GPO as a VST plugin in Finale. It works better that way. When you have copied PersonalOrchestraVST.dll and Garritan Ambience.dll to FinaleVST, you are ready to use GPO as a VST plugin in Finale. To use it this way, check MIDI menu | "Play Finale through Native Instruments VST" and load the instruments in "Native Instruments VST setup". If you use the Wizard to set up new scores, GPO is automatically loaded.

    Why does Studio 2 use 17 - 24? Studio 1 can only go to 1 - 8
    What studio uses 9 - 16?

I will try the other thing you mentioned.
    thanks,
    Georg

I think you may be confusing "Studio" with regular GPO as a VST...
Each "Studio player only has 8 slots... No?

Studio 1. Channels 1-16 are hardwired to MIDI Out port 1 (Studio 1). It can only use 8 channels at one time, but these 8 channels can be any channels between 1 and 16.

I an interested in this suggestion, but I still would like to know what happened to using the studio outside of Finale, is that now out of date?
Is it not feasible to use the "studio" . I can't seem to t load all my templates using this new method.

Finale 2006 works fine with Studio.

I've posted a thread on using Finale 2006 with Studio with screenshots. You may want to check your settings against these.

The thread can be found here.

    Good luck.
