    Piano Sonata #2 mvt1

Continuing my survey of the piano sonatas of Paul de Maleingreau - this one is in F#, so the scoring is a PAIN....

Hence, I have decided to post the mvts as I finish them, since it will be awhile...

This mvt is titled "Allegro scherzando non troppo vivace"

it is "scherzo-ish" to say the least, and I pity the pianist that has to play it - there are some DEVILISH twists and turns....

    But grand fun, for sure!

    Do enjoy

de Maleingreau was a Belgian composer ca. 1887-1956

These piano sonatas were never published (as with probably 60-70%
of his ouevre!) He wrote over 100 opus numbers....

His heirs kindly allowed me copies of the ms. to the Piano Sonatas - I am
trying to generate enough interest in them to have them recorded (and
transcribing his ms. into Finale so it is READABLE!) lol

    Jonathon,
Once again you've brought us a wonderful unknown piece. Makes you wonder how many worthwhile scores are laying on dusty shelves waiting for discovery.
