Here is a new trumpet solo

We recorded a real trumpet solo and re-programmed it with "Chris Hein - Horns"

    Why?

Some of the licks are great, but there are major tell tale signs that this wasn't a "real" take (mostly in the attacks).

The ensemble horns for the most part sound great.

    Hi,

the drops and shakes on the solo are convincing indeed. The problem that I have is when the sustained notes lack the realism of a real player, such as a variable vibrato or a bending of the note. The legato passages are quite keyboard in nature to my ears. Overall, I'd score it 7.5

    JMHO of course.

Chris is in the right direction and I offer my commendation to him..

I am with dabbler. Why? Is that not kind of like saying,

"Hey - we recorded a symphony with the London Philharmonic, but decided to re-programm it with EWQL and Garritan!"

But if you trying to make a point of how good a sample library can emulate the real thing I don't find it very strange... For demo purposes of course.
It would be interesting to hear the real thing too though...
