MIDI controller: All Notes Off Madness!

I have an old Roland MKB-1000 MIDI controller. This thing has real wooden keys and feels great!

Now my problem. When you lift your last finger off of the keys it sends an "All Notes Off" midi message. What this does is instantly cuts the sustain of the notes to silence...no release tail at all. it's very unatural! This happens even if the sustain pedal is still engaged...

When I use it to trigger V.I.s in Digital Performer it works fine, as DP must ignore that midi message.

Lately I've been using Sonar on a laptop, but it cuts the notes off as descibed earlier. It does the same thing with V.I.s in Ableton Live.

So my question is: Is there anyway to set Sonar to ignore the "All Notes Off" message all together?

I did a quick Google search and it brought up this site with Midi FX plugins:

Look for the "MFX SustainFix" entry.

    Success!!! That work-around fixed it!

There were some other interesting ones on there that I'm going to test drive tonight too.

    Thanks again!
