    GOS in Kontakt2

Howdy. Just got GOS, and I am trying to use it w/K2. I understand that I will not have full funtionality, but the .gig files are not showing up at all. I remember seeing some tutorial somewhere on the Gar. site, but can't seem to find it now.

Anyone up for a little assistance?

    Thanks much in advance.

Under the "Files" tab in the browser there is a "View" button. Click it and make sure "Show Foreign Formats" is selected.

Got it - wow is that taking a looooooooooooooooong time to load.

    Thanks for the help!

--edit-- ok, it's not the loading time that is long, it's the conversion time. K, no biggie...

    Re: GOS in Kontakt2

Ok, now I have another issue, and that is with making a multi out of GOS and EW together. If I load EW samples, and load VSL samples, I can create a multi which then can be opened later with no problem. I can also make a multi out of GOS samples, save and reopen with no problem. But I can't mix GOS and EW samples in the same multi. If I load a multi comprised of GOS and EW samples, the GOS samples are not found. I can do a search, but that yields no results.

    Any ideas here?

    Thanks again!

Ok, I did a search, and this time, I chose to search from entire drive - and it worked...but not 100%. I still get a message asking to find '26p3aG#5_at_wav' but seeing as the .wav files are embedded in the .gig files (right?) there is no way to point to this file.

    HEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLP!!!!! lol

    Thanks!

Try to do an "Import" from the Files menu, rather than a Load: playing directly from the .gig format (particularly if DFD is involved?) is a bit odd.

Hey thanks for the tip - same results, however.

--edit-- it's asking for the sample in C:\Program Files\Native Instruments\Kontakt 2\Temporary Conversions? HUH??!? There's nothing there...

Which program are you trying to convert, specifically?

Of course, I have an earlier version of GOS: not sure if anything in the .gig files have changed...

Err, not sure what you mean by which program, but GOS is in .gig format. Does that help? But wait - you knew that already, no?

    Re: GOS in Kontakt2

Rather, I meant which "patch" you were using (and which .gig file it was from). That's sometimes called a "program" as well.

I was going to try to reproduce your results, but I have to crash now! I'll get to it in the morning.
