    What I've learned on NS:

    sponsored links

    ***Advertisments***
    1) All samples are out of tune. This may or may not be a bad thing.

    2) Everyone has Stylus and loves it, but no one knows how it works.

    3) All successful composers suck. ESPECIALLY Hans Zimmer.

    3) All Republicans should be dead.

    4) Sampling is being taken over by The Man, so watch out.

    5) It's good to protect Intellectual Property, unless the protection works in which case it's annoying.

    6) The more a library costs, the more "professional" it is.

    7) There can never be enough piano libraries, except there are now so stop.

    8) Don't sample a sax. Just don't.

I've never seen an anti-Republican thread here. Sounds like a typical lib-bashing pre-emptive strike, if you ask me, Fred. Bad form.

I would agree with most of those things on the list.

Sad (or funny) but true......... depending on how you look at it.

Any composer who slams on successful composers is crackhead. Composing for film is not even so much about the music. Walking the tightrope is friggn brutal, the job description sucks, basically. So people at the top get my utmost respect. They've already gone through much BS and can now make some demands. Good for them!

The other thing about this site is you have to take it with a huge grain of salt..... this site isn't reality in many ways. Out in the real world it can be quite different. Especially as far as what music people respond to. No one cares about classical mock-ups in Hollywood. A director may want no strings at all. And well, people on-line would probably clown on your score in that case, while the director may love it...

    So that's what I'll add........

    9) People here love classical mock-ups for some reason. Or anything that sounds like John Williams.
