OT: Wav to Midi signal generator???

Just wondering if there is an application or plugin that would convert a WAV of say a kick drum into a midi signal so I could replace or layer individual drumtracks with samples. I could really use something like this. I currently use CUbase SX 1.06 if it matters to anyone. Thanks,

    Eric

There are several things that can do trigger-to-MIDI. Drumagog is supposed to be really good. Logic has pitch-to-MIDI built in, which you can use; Digital Performer has a plug-in; Pro Tools has the Beat Detective feature (off-line, but it does the same thing)...

Bfd Guru can do that too. I tried it but it gave me some problems with cymbals because it cut sustained sounds when next beat is played by another piece of the drumkit.

    Nick,
Whereabouts in Logic is this feature? I haven't found this particular tool.

    Regards,
