    Gloria in Exelsis Deo

I finally managed to set up an account at myspace.com and uploaded a couple of tunes.
One of them is an acapella piece done entirely with Symphony of voices.
You can find it at www.myspace.com/cosmicpassenger
Please let me know what you think!

    Thanks for adding me!
    I gladly accepted.
I just listened to your stuff and i am very impressed!
    Is that you singing?
The orchestral stuff sounds great-which library do you use?
I like how you mix electronics and classic sounds.
    Very cool!

hans, a nice mood, and I like the word programming and the sound in general, very much: but it's not purely acapella, is it? There's a pad going on the whole time...it sounds plaesant, but makes the piece more synthy, and can get a little monotonous. The high note at the end is a bit of a giveaway, I think.

    Nice to listen to!

    Re: Gloria in Exelsis Deo

    Hi Nigel,
    thanks for listening!
I made that piece in 2001 right after purchasing SOV and i was sure i didnt use anything else but i could be mistaken.
The synthy character was on purpose though because i wanted to create a kind of 2001 Space odyssey feel.
In the same spirit i used the recording of the bible text, which is taken from a transmission sent from the Apollo astronaut who was orbiting the moon while the two others were down on the surface to Houston control.

I don't usually come around this corner of the forum, but I'm glad I did. I enjoyed listening to this piece a lot. It is a beautiful work and the choir sounds gorgeous.

    Louis,
thank you so much for saying this!
    Makes it all worthwhile!
SOV has been around for a while but it still is my favourite source for classical choirs.

    Thanks again for listening!

    Hi Hans!

I enjoyed the choir piece so much! It has that kind of "mystery" mood that I really dig it.

Most of the tracks on my myspace page are old compositions already... hehe was still using AO and KHVS.

"Phenomena" isn't sung by me, but "Is Anyone There" is. I wish I had that warm and expressive voice the other singer has too hehe.

    Cheers,
    Frankie

PS I truly recomment this band too The Wimshurst's Machine to you too. One of my favourite bands who write very fine electronic classical/new age music.
