Cool JABB Swing: Sing, Sing, Sing!

Here is my all JABB version of Sing, Sing, Sing. Feel free to make suggestions for improvement. There is a pause about 3/4 through that makes ir sound like the song has ended, but there's a little more

    Ray,

    Good work!

Just some very personal suggestions that I may be of use to you -

    - did you use any reverb? to my ears it sounded very dry
    - again to my ears, there was not much use of legato in the horn phrases, every note appeared to have a detached attack
    - perhaps more use of expression (mod wheel) would add some extra life
    - stylistically, for this period of music there shoudl be loads of vibrato on all of the horns

JABB is great, but it does need a lot of controlling!

    Ray,

What a treat! Nice work - you really know how to swing.

Fantastic drum work. I agree with Richard that a little more ambience is needed.

For your first JABB work you certainly tackled a difficult piece and have done very well.

    Thanks for posting this.

    Nice job on this, Ray!

That drum work is just phenomenal. Gene Krupa'd love it, and Buddy Rich'd be swiping the riffs.
